Named by Golf Digest one of the “Top 10 New Private Golf Courses in America” when it debuted in 1996, SouthShore’s award-winning par-71, 6,917-yard championship layout was designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus to blend seamlessly with its surroundings on the shores of Lake Las Vegas, in perfect harmony with nature.

Generous Bermuda fairways frame gently rolling Bentgrass greens, with 88 strategically placed bunkers and numerous forced carries over canyons and water creating both an exhilarating challenge and a visually stunning backdrop for golf.  Adding to its spirited sense of adventure, the layout’s unique topography includes course elevations ranging from 1,410 feet to 1,750 feet.  While challenging enough to test the mettle of scratch golfers, five sets of tees on each hole help new and less experienced golfers enjoy the subtle nuances and design elements that have made Jack Nicklaus one of the most revered golf course architects in the world.  The course is part of the Lake Las Vegas Resort, a premier residential resort destination on a privately-owned 320-acre lake located 17 miles from the Las Vegas Strip.
